Aberdeen Under-20s ran out 2-1 winners against Buckie in Jags keeper Darren Strong’s testimonial.
Strong gave thanks to everyone who turned out for the game at Victoria Park.
He said: “It was very rewarding to see so many people there. It meant a lot to me.”
Buckie took the lead with a goal from assistant manager Lewis Mackinnon.
However, the Dons quickly restored parity courtesy of a ferocious shot from Scott Wright and the striker hit the winning goal just before the break.
Macmillan Cancer Support, Breast Cancer UK, Clic Sargent and The Archie Foundation will all receive half of the proceeds from the match and the entire testimonial season.
Strong added: “It all came together well. The game was good and I made a couple of saves.
“We wore special pink strips mentioning the four charities and I would like to thank Kris Hunter and Paul D’Arcy at Soccer World for their help with that.”
