Team news for matches on Sat 24th August

Highland League

Formartine Utd v Clach

Formartine are in good form, with three wins and 11 goals in their last four matches. This run also included a Challenge Cup shoot-out win at League One Peterhead.

Clach could be without Martin Callum and goalkeeper Douglas Maclennan, after both picked up knocks in the excellent North Cup win over Ross County. Martin MacDonald and John MacAskill are expected to return.

Forres Mechanics v Strathspey Thistle

Forres are still looking for their first league points of the season as they take on Strathspey at Mosset Park. Ryan Farquhar and Moray Taylor miss out through injury, while Scott Miller is unavailable.

Richard Tawse returns for the visitors Strathspey, but Aiden Hersee is suspended after his red card at Turriff last weekend.

Fraserburgh v Fort William

Fraserburgh continued their great start to the season with wins over Buckie and Locos in the last week. Jamie Beagrie is their only absentee for the home clash with Fort William, as he is offshore.

Fort recorded another superb North Cup victory at Rothes in midweek, taking them through to a semi final clash with Brora. They'll travel to Bellslea without the injured John Treasurer.

Huntly v Rothes

Huntly quartet Craig Reid, Euan Storrier, Craig Dorrat and Ross Still will all miss the visit of Rothes to Christie Park. Glenn Murison is available again and returns to the squad.

Rothes lost their unbeaten league record with defeat at home to Nairn last weekend. They'll be without Alan Pollock for this one.
Keith v Turriff Utd

Keith face Turriff at Kynoch Park and will be without Davie Dey with a broken wrist, and Adam Clark due to work commitments. Max Berton remains on the transfer list, while Ryan Kier and Stuart Hutcheon are still out injured.

Turriff recorded their first league win with victory over Strathspey last weekend, and a win in this one would take them above their opponents in the league table.

Lossiemouth v Inverurie Locos

Trevor Dear, Ross Elliott, Dean McCall and Ryan Stuart are all unavalable for Lossie and miss the visit of Inverurie Locos to Grant Park. Scott Wilson is also unlikely to be involved due to a groin injury.

Locos will aim to bounce back from their midweek cup defeat at in-form Fraserburgh, but will be without Eric Watson due to suspension. Neil McLean, Kyle Gordon, Thomas Reid and Craig Gill also miss out, while Chris Angus and Andrew Watt return to the squad.

Nairn County v Brora Rangers

Nairn maintained their winning start to the league campaign with an excellent victory at Rothes last weekend. They face their biggest test yet against league leaders Brora at Station Park. Callum McLean is unavailable, and both Craig Munro and Dylan McKenzie are out injured.

John Pickles is out injured for the visitors, with goalkeeper Steve Martin also unavailable.

Wick Academy v Buckie Thistle

Wick host Buckie at Harmsworth Park and will be without Jack Henry, Marc MacGregor and Davie Allan through injury. Danny Mackay is also doubtful and will face a late fitness test.

Buckie remain without the injured Cieran McLean and John McLeod, while Jay Cheyne and Daniel Bell are both away with work.
