Huntly 2: Dean Donaldson (6 pen) and Adam McNamee (87) Inverurie Loco Works 1: Martin Laing (20)
Huntly ended a run of eight home games without a victory by securing their first win over Inverurie Loco Works since November 2009.
With six minutes gone Dean Donaldson took a quick throw-in and set Adam McNamee away into the opposition box. As McNamee looked to turn he was pulled down by Marc Young and referee Liam Duncan awarded a penalty. Former Locos player Donaldson stepped up from the spot sending his kick high past Scott Mathieson for his first Huntly goal.
Locos got back into the game in the 20th minute with Martin Laing driving home from the edge of the box.
Mark Souter had come off the bench for the visitors in the 73rd but his involvement proved to be over within a matter of minutes when he was shown a straight red card for serious foul play.
With three minutes to go Ryan Broadhurst had failed to cut out a cross into the Locos box and when Adam McNamee peeled off his marker he lashed the ball high into the net.
