Turriff United did the double over Huntly for the second successive season after surviving a fightback to run out winners at Christie Park.
United got off to a great start when Andrew MacAskill went down under a Mark Lawson challenge before curling a free-kick underneath the bar and into the net.
In the 22nd minute Turriff doubled their lead when a corner kick was not cleared and the ball found its way out to Allen MacKenzie, whose shot went through the hands of home keeper Fraser Hobday.
Just two minutes later a corner from MacAskill was met by the head of Artjoms Kuznecovs who further extended United’s advantage.
Huntly started their fightback when Aaron Scoular’s pass was gathered by captain Murray McCulloch and he sent a shot past keeper Kevin Main from the edge of the penalty area.
Just a minute into the second half, Christopher Herd slipped and Neale Allan took advantage as his low cross towards the back post was drilled into the net by David Booth.
There was a blow for the visitors when goalscorer MacKenzie was stretchered off with a broken eye socket after he challenged for a high ball with Huntly defender Lawson.
Turriff killed the game off with six minutes to go when MacAskill got across his marker to finish from close range.
