Turriff are unchanged from there fine win at Huntly last Saturday, while Strathspey had to change their line-up due to various reasons.
The game started in sunshine but we had to wait 10 mins for a shot at goal by Josh Peters, but his tame effort went straight at Main.
Turriff deservedly took the lead after 19 minutes when corner from the right by Andy MacAskill eventually landed at Kuznecovs‘ feet and he had an easy finish from 5 yards. One minute later the same player hit the bar with a terrific header.
Strathspey had very little bright moments in the first half, new signing Owen Cairns was looking good on the ball but he wasn’t getting enough support.
The second half was 5 mins old when Gray struck the post after great play by McKenna to set him up. McShane of Strathspey was the first booking when he attempted to trip a Turriff player in full flow.
Strathspey made a change when top scorer last season Adam McLeod came on for Josh Race after 54 minutes.
Turriff also made a change when McKenzie took over from Nowosielski. Turriff then made it 2 after great play down the left between McKenzie and Allan, whose centre left Gray with a very easy finish.
It stayed 2-0 until the end and a very comfortable 3 points for Turriff. I'm sure Strathspey will have better days to come.
