Strathspey Thistle have confirmed manager Brian Ritchie has stepped down from the position for the remainder of this season for personal reasons.
Assistant manager Brian Grant - who has been in charge of the side since the start of the season - will now step forward to take full control of first-team dutites.
A statement from club secretary Malky Taylor said:
"Brian Ritchie has decided due to personal reasons to stand down as manager of the club for this season - Brian remains a dedicated director and committee member as the club continues to move forward.
"As a result of this decision, Brian Grant who was assistant, is now in complete control of first team affairs in relation to team selection and transfers both in and out. Brian Grant not only has the full backing of Brian Ritchie but has the full backing of all directors and committee member at the club."
Meanwhile the Jags have confirmed that goalkeeper Willie Ridgers has been placed on the transfer list, with interested clubs encouraged to contact the club secretary.
Speaking to http://www.hflhub.co.uk yesterday, Grant said:
"I've spoken to Willie and we've agreed that this is the best solution for both parties. Willie hasn't been making it to training.
"However, Willie has been outstanding for the club and I told him that. We wish him all the best."
Thistle also confirmed Gavin Chisholm, Sandis Reinsons and Dougie Edwards have left the club.
