Wick Academy came from behind to record a comprehensive 6-1 victory against Strathspey Thistle. David Allan returned to the side from suspension, and was a key inclusion in the side by notching a hat-trick.
The Jags took the lead following an excellent long-range strike from on-loan Forres Mechanics youngster John Ross.
However, Thistle's lead lasted only seven minutes, as Wick equalised through James Pickles' deflected effort.
Academy took the lead for the first time in the match when the ball fell into the path of Richard Macadie, who was on hand to power it past goalkeeper Steven Martin.
On 51 minutes, a ball from Steven Cunningham released David Allan, and he applied a powerful finish past Martin to establish a two-goal cushion.
With seventeen minutes left, Sam Mackay and substitute Lukasz Geruzel both hit the bar in quick succession following Macadie's corner, however David Allan made it third time lucky by finding the net from close-range.
The Scorries netted twice late on, with defender Michael Steven hitting the target from an accute angle before David Allan sealed his hat-trick in stoppage time to score Academy's fifteenth goal in just two games against Strathspey this season.
