Team of the Week returns for its final outing before the end of the season, with Saturday’s game at Claggan Park being merged onto last weekend’s fixtures which signalled the end of the season for most clubs

Starting between the sticks, Andy Reid made several stops to deny Buckie Thistle at Victoria Park, including a penalty save from Nikki Smith. Eric Watson and Russell McBride were both solid in securing clean sheets for their side, while the midfield five consists of plenty of goals – the majority of them coming from Steven Mackay. Brora’s top scorer notched a double hat-trick in his side’s thumping 12-2 victory over Fort William, and as a result is an obvious choice for Player of the Week.

The five-man midfield sits behind a pacy frontline of Connors – with Gethins on target twice for Nairn, and Scully providing two assists as Cove crossed the Highland League finish line in style. Richie Ligertwood was on target four minutes after coming on for Turriff United, netting the winner against Clach. Meanwhile the top referee for the week was Graham Beaton, who was in charge of the title decider just days after officiating the Aberdeenshire Shield cup final.
