Juniors Banks o' Dee claimed their third Highland League scalp of the competition after beating Turriff United in extra-time at The Haughs, thanks to a winner from former Cove striker Jamie Watt.

Turriff United won through to the quarter finals of the Breedon Aggregates Highland League Cup by defeating Huntly at The Haughs. Goals from Lewis Davidson and Christopher Herd secured Ross Jack’s side’s place in the next round despite an encouraging second half performance from the away side this couldn’t prevent the hosts from winning the game.
The first real chance fell to the home side with Aaron McKenna playing a clever ball to Leszek Nowosielski, but his shot was saved by Stuart Grant.

Turriff United have ended the contract of manager Mark Simpson with immediate effect.
Simpson has been on his own in the post since James Duthie left the club in January, and although United defeated Cove Rangers 1-0 on Saturday the result ended a run of six straight defeats.
