    Juniors Banks o' Dee claimed their third Highland League scalp of the competition after beating Turriff United in extra-time at The Haughs, thanks to a winner from former Cove striker Jamie Watt.     Irn-Bru Cup heroes Turriff Utd clocked up their third straight win on at Harlaw Park on Saturday, a result that leaves under par Inverurie Locos thirteenth in the table on only two points desperate for a morale boosting first win of the new campaign. After a hugely disappinting away draw at Rothes there were changes for this game.   • Sat 6th February - Turriff Utd 2 Huntly 0

    Turriff United won through to the quarter finals of the Breedon Aggregates Highland League Cup by defeating Huntly at The Haughs. Goals from Lewis Davidson and Christopher Herd secured Ross Jack’s side’s place in the next round despite an encouraging second half performance from the away side this couldn’t prevent the hosts from winning the game.   • Clach have two sent off in Turriff defeat

    Turriff Utd 2 Clachnacuddin 0Turriff Utd maintained their position near the top of the table and kept yet another clean sheet but had to work hard to eventually wear down a 10 man Clach who finished the game with 9 men at the very end.Ross Jack’s side could have gone ahead in 6 minutes when Artjoms Kuznecovs saw a headflick tipped on to the outside of the post by Ally Ridgers for a corner while midway through a dour first half, Ridgers raced to get to a 50/50 ball before Nick Gray.

  • Simpson leaves Turriff post

     Turriff United have ended the contract of manager Mark Simpson with immediate effect. Simpson has been on his own in the post since James Duthie left the club in January, and although United defeated Cove Rangers 1-0 on Saturday the result ended a run of six straight defeats. More to follow.
