Hake pleased to get Bell on board / Buckie could bag Bagley

Yesterday we brought confirmation of the latest Buckie Thistle incomer with Daniel Bell taking over from Darren Strong as the player challenging regular number one Kevin Main for the keeper’s jersey at Victoria Park. Last night John Innes caught up with Jags gaffer Gary Hake who confirmed his delight at the signing but also stressing the fact he wants more new players in the squad.

Goalies on the move: Bell swaps Locos for Jags / Robertson signs on at Lossie

The departure of winger Dean Donaldson to Inverurie Locos has been met with a player going in the opposite direction, with goalkeeper Daniel Bell making the transfer to Victoria Park.

Buckie have pipped Deveronvale to the post for Bell’s signature and he will compete with long serving testimonial man Kevin Main for the number one shirt, with backup Darren Strong having recently gone on the transfer list.

SHFL President Finlay Noble discusses league reconstruction

Yesterday’s crunch league reconstruction meeting saw 23 of the 29 member clubs vote in favour of changing the league structure, meaning the new Scottish Professional Football League is set to be introduced from next season.

With changes to the distribution of wealth and relegation play-offs from the top-tier among the pressing issues for some of Scotland’s 42 league clubs, the hot topic on the Highland League agenda is clearly the prospect of promotion into the newly restructured league.

Locos net Deano from Jags

Inverurie Loco Works have completed the signing of winger Dean Donaldson from Buckie Thistle.

Donaldson , who only moved to Victoria Park at the end of the year after ten glory-filled years at Keith, has signed up for Locos on a two-year-deal.

End of Term Report Cards 2012-13: Keith

Keith have already been one of the busiest teams in the close-season with four new signings on board, but star striker Cammy Keith moving on to Formartine United. He leaves Kynoch Park however with a winners medal still fresh in his pocket, having scored the winner in last month’s Breedon Aggregates Highland League Cup final win against Inverurie Locos.
