Team news for matches on Sat 1st September

Brora Rangers v Turriff United

Brora have won their last three league games without conceding a goal and sit joint top of the table with Fraserburgh and Cove. James Pickles, James Ross and Zander Sutherland are unavailable for the visit of Turriff to Dudgeon Park.

Turriff have also enjoyed a decent start to the season, and they could close the gap on their opponents to just four points with a win in this one.

Buckie Thistle v Nairn County

Buckie take on Nairn at Victoria Park on the back of putting eight past Lossie in midweek. A win for the Jags would take them five points clear of today's opponents in the league table.

Nairn travel without Dylan McLean, Cohen Ramsey, Kenny McKenzie, Jack McLean and Craig Munro, who are all injured.

Clach v Forres Mechanics

Clach face Forres at Grant Street and they'll be without goalkeepers Dougie Maclennan and Steve Martin. Steven Edwards, Blair Lawrie,  Ryan Mackintosh, Rorie Macleod and Paul Smith remain out injured and they're now joined by Sean Webb. James Beeston returns to the squad.

Forres are in superb form and recorded an excellent victory at Formartine in midweek. Craig McGovern is out with a knee injury, but Robbie Duncanson is available again and returns to the squad.

Cove Rangers - Fort William

Cove came from behind to grab a vital win at Inverurie Locos in midweek and they'll look to continue that form at home to Fort William. Darryn Kelly and Scott Ross both miss out, while Paul McManus is doubtful and will face a late fitness test.

Fort have Kevin MacKinnon out with a head injury, but John Treasurer is fit again and returns.  Two further players miss out with work commitments as the visitors look to build on their draw with Strathspey last time out.

Highland League

Brora Rangers v Buckie Thistle

Brora have returned to form with home wins over Rothes and Wick. Player-manager Steven Mackay has a full squad to choose from for the visit of Buckie to Dudgeon Park, with the exception of James Ross.

The visitors' injury woes continue, with Andrew Skinner and Kevin Fraser both out due to ankle injuries. Ceiran Mclean has a knee problem, and The Jags remain without long-term casualties John McLeod, Sam Urquhart, Hamish Munro and Craig Cowie.

Clach v Deveronvale (5pm)

Clach are at home to Deveronvale in the late kick off, which will allow Clach players, management and officials to attend the funeral of club legend Alan Hercher. Dougie Maclennan, Steven Edwards, Blair Lawrie, Martin Callum, Kyle Maclean, Paul Macleod and Ryan Mackintosh are all out injured for the home side, but Kieran Chalmers could return to the squad.

Vale remain without their long-term injury victims and Leszek Nowosielski is unavailable. Kyle Willox is fit again and returns to the squad. The visitors will hope to build on their Aberdeenshire Cup win over Huntly in midweek.

Cove Rangers v Turriff Utd

The Cove Rangers juggernaut rolls on after victories over Huntly and title rivals Formartine in the last week. John Sheran's men will look to continue that form against Turriff at Balmoral Stadium.

United are in fine form themselves and are only two points behind their opponents in the league table. They also joined them in the Aberdeenshire Cup Semi-finals after beating Keith on Wednesday night. David Ross and Cammy Bowden miss out for the visitors.

Forres Mechanics v Wick Academy

Forres take on Wick at Mosset Park, with only goal difference separating the two sides in seventh and eighth place respectively. Graham Fraser will have a late fitness test for Mechanics.

Wick couldn't follow up last weekend's superb win at Formartine as they crashed to defeat at derby rivals Brora in the North of Scotland Cup. They travel south without Sam Mackay, Andy Hardwick, Gordy Clark and Ross Allan. Marc MacGregor and Craig Gunn are carrying injuries and will be assessed nearer kick off.
