Postponement news: Sat 3rd February

Today's Highland League match between Forres Mechanics and Lossiemouth at Mosset Park has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Match report: Fraserburgh 0 Rangers 3

A hat-trick from Josh Windass saw Rangers through to the Fifth Round of the Scottish Cup against a brave Fraserburgh side at Bellslea.

The Broch put in a valiant and determined effort throughout the tie, but Premier League class eventually won the day for the Glasgow team.

The home side started really well and Willie West fired a shot well off target from long range in the fifth minute.

Two minutes later Windass almost found former Tottenham man Niko Kranjcar with a through ball, but Broch 'keeper Peter Tait was quick off his line to collect.

Rangers made the breakthrough in the 15th minute when Ryan Cowie pulled down Jason Holt inside the penalty area, and Windass put the spot-kick just beyond the despairing dive of Tait.

Broch had a penalty claim of their own nine minutes later as Lee Hodson looked to have both hands on Willie West in the area, but nothing was given.

Ten minutes after the break the visitors grabbed a crucial second, Windass firing high into the net after Cummings' scuffed effort at goal had landed at his feet 10 yards out.

Jamie Beagrie then did well to work his way into the penalty box, but he could only scuff his shot across goal and wide of the far post.

Windass sealed the win for Rangers midway through the second period, cutting inside before rifling the ball past Tait at the near post to complete his hat-trick.

The game ended on a sour not for Broch when substitute Graham Johnston was harshly sent off by referee Aitken for a challenge on fellow sub Joe Dodoo five minutes from time.

Team news and postponements: Sat 27th January

Today's Highland League match between Fort William and Buckie Thistle has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

There is also a pitch inspection planned for 10:30am at The Haughs before the Aberdeenshire Shield Semi Final between Cove and Turriff.

Highland League Cup Preliminary Round

Brora Rangers v Inverurie Locos

Brora take on Inverurie Locos at Dudgeon Park in a repeat of last season's one-sided First Round clash. Forward Aidan Wilson could be involved after he joined the club on loan from Caley Thistle until the end of the season. Goalkeeper Daniel Hoban has also rejoined the Cattachs on loan.

Locos travel without Joe McCabe, who is suspended, and the injured Daniel Crisp.

Wick Academy v Nairn County

Wick face Nairn at Harmsworth Park and they'll be without the injured Alan Farquhar, Davie Allan, Gordon McNab and Jack Henry. The winners of this tie face Lossiemouth at home in the First Round.

Gregg Main and Callum Ednie remain out injured for the visitors, but Ewan Urquhart is fit again and returns to the squad. Danny Highet could make his debut after signing from Fort William on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Aberdeenshire Shield Semi-Final

Cove Rangers v Turriff Utd

Cove will look to reach the final and end their Aberdeenshire Shield hoodoo against Turriff, having lost to today's opponents four years in a row from 2012 to 2015.

Graeme Roy faces a tough opening game in charge against the league leaders at The Haughs. Turriff are looking to go one better than last season, when they lost to Banks o Dee in the semi-final.

Highland League

Deveronvale v Huntly

Deveronvale will be looking to bounce back from their crushing defeat to Banks o Dee in midweek when Huntly visit Princess Royal Park. Chris Blackhall is the only absentee for the home side.

Alex Thoirs misses out through suspension for Huntly, but Martin Charlesworth could be available after recovering from injury. Calvin Roddie remains on the transfer list, while defender Clark Robertson has been released from his contract.
