Team news for Saturday 10th February

Highland League Cup First Round

Brora Rangers v Inverurie Locos
Brora will be hoping history can repeat itself in the Highland League Cup as they beat Locos in the first round last season on their way to lifting the trophy.  Joe Malin and Paul  Brindle remain out injured for the home side, while John Pickles, Dale Gillespie and Martin Maclean are all suspended.

Stuart Duff misses out through suspension for the visitors, who will look to repeat the form that has seen them take a point from their last two league visits to Dudgeon Park.

Buckie Thistle v Forres Mechanics
Buckie's lead at the top of the table was cut to three points after their defeat at Brora last weekend, and they turn their attention to the cup tomorrow with the visit of Forres to Victoria Park. Andy Low, Kai Ross and Andrew Skinner are all out injured for the Jags.

Kyle Scott , Jordan Wardrope and Fraser Forbes miss out through injury for the visitors, while Craig McGovern is unavailable. Striker Andy Mcrae is in the squad after signing on loan from Caley Thistle and the club have been boosted with the news that Ross MacPherson has signed a one-year contract extension.

Clach v Fort William
Clach face Fort William at Grant Street as they look to repeat their League Cup success of 2014. Daniel Maclennan is doubtful with an ankle injury and Martin Callum and Matty Grant both miss out for the Lilywhites. Blair Lawrie returns to the squad.

Fort captain Ian Foggo has received confirmation on the extent of his knee injury and is unfortunately out for the rest of the season and possibly the start of next. Barna Tot and Lewis Campbell are missing due to work commitments, but 'keeper Douglas MacLennan is set to return and Caley Thistle loanee Stephen Foster could make his debut.

Cove Rangers v Lossiemouth
Cove have returned to form with a bang, scoring 12 goals in their last two games against Nairn and Fort William. Johnny Smith and Grant Campbell will miss the visit of Lossiemouth through injury and Connor Scully is suspended.

New Lossie manager Bobby Beckwith faces a baptism of fire against the champions at Harlaw Park. Ross Campbell is unavailable for this one and Shawn Scott is suspended. Ryan Farquhar returns to the squad.

Fort William v Rothes off

Today's scheduled Highland League match between Fort William and Rothes at Claggan Park has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Lossiemouth appoint Beckwith

Lossiemouth have appointed former Turriff United assistant manager Bobby Beckwith as their new manager on a three-year contract.

Caretaker manager Stuart Cameron will stay at Lossie to work with the new boss, as will the entire backroom staff at Grant Park.

Team news for Saturday 4th February

Breedon Highland League Cup Prelim Round

Strathspey Thistle v Formartine Utd
Strathspey Thistle and Formartine try again this weekend after last Saturday's match at Seafield Park was postponed. The home side will be without Ryan Mcleod for this one.

Visitors Formartine will be without the suspended Garry Wood, with the winners of tomorrow's tie facing a trip to Rothes in the next round.

Highland League

Brora Rangers v Buckie Thistle
It could be the biggest match of the Highland League season so far as leaders Buckie make the trip to face second place Brora at Dudgeon Park. The home side will be without the injured Joe Malin and Paul Brindle, while Ross County goalkeeper Ross Munro has extended his loan spell until the end of the season.

A win for the Jags tomorrow would put them nine points clear of their opponents with a game in hand, and possibly out of reach of the Cattachs. Andy Low, Andrew Skinner and Kai Ross all remain out for the visitors.

Clach v Lossiemouth
Clach and Lossie meet at Grant Street, with only two places and three points separating the two sides in the league table. Martin Callum, Colin Maclean, Scott Maclean, Ian Penwright and Matthew Grant are all out injured for the homesters and Blair Lawrie is unavailable due to work commitments. Stuart Leslie returns to the squad.

Lossie continue their search for a new manager after the resignation of Charlie Charlesworth and interim boss Stuart Cameron is without Shawn Scott and Ryan Farquhar, who are both suspended.

Deveronvale v Fraserburgh
Steven Davidson is suspended for Deveronvale and misses the visit of his old club Fraserburgh to Princess Royal Park. Scott Fraser, Kevin Adams and Lukas Krobot are likely to remain out for the Banff side.

Dean Cowie is still on the injured list for Broch, who recorded a superb win over Brora Rangers last time out. The club were further boosted by the news that Peterhead midfielder Marc Lawrence has extended his loan spell until the end of the season.
