Postponement news: Saturday 16th September

Today's Highland League match between Turriff Utd and Brora Rangers at The Haughs has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Their first match in charge will be the home game against Keith on Saturday.

Opportunity to play in Australia

Yoogali Soccer Club in Australia are again on the lookout for players and are after a quality striker, a central midfield player and a central defender.

The town has been accepted into a higher league, which is the top division in the state of the A.C.T. As they're only allowed two visa players, they are preferably looking for an experienced player-manager who can take control and oversee the management of the club which consists of the following teams:

Seniors, Under 20’s, under 18’s, Under 16’s, Under 14’s and under 13’s.

They would be then be guided by the successful player manager (which is their priority) to select the second player.

He will be employed by the association and will be full time, visiting schools for promotion of the game etc. Naturally for the right person a package would be put together, including accommodation. The candidate would need to be of descent quality, both on and off the pitch, with the ability to coach with certificates. The usual weather and lifestyle is always an added bonus.

Team news for matches on Saturday 9th September

Brora Rangers v Buckie Thistle
Match of the day is undoubtedly at Dudgeon Park, where fifth place Brora take on third place Buckie Thistle. Brora boss Ross Tokely has a full squad to choose from as they look to build on good away wins at Nairn and Deveronvale.

Buckie will hope to bounce back from cup defeats to Dunfermline and Fraserburgh, and the Jags are likely to recall Chris Angus, Craig Dorrat and Kevin Fraser after they were rested against Broch in midweek.

Clach v Cove Rangers
Clach have several players missing for the visit of table-toppers Cove to Grant Street. Paul Smith and Daniel Maclennan have work commitments, while John Campbell, Martin Callum, Ian Penwright, Fraser Robertson, Matty Grant and David Mcgurk are injured. Struan Macarthur is away to university and also misses out.

Cove continued their superb form with an Aberdeenshire Cup win over Keith on Wednesday night. Boss John Sheran could restore Stuart McKenzie, Eric Watson, Daniel Park and Ryan Strachan to the starting line-up for this one.

Fort William v Fraserburgh
Fort William face in-form Fraserburgh at Claggan Park after the disappointment of having to forfeit their North of Scotland Cup tie in midweek due to being unable to raise a team.

Broch have won their last three matches without conceding a goal and will look to continue that form today. Aidan Combe is unavailable and goalkeeper Peter Tait suspended after his late red card against Strathspey.

Huntly v Deveronvale
Huntly face Deveronvale at Christie Park and both sides will go into the game in a confident mood after good wins last time out. Martin Charlesworth is only player who misses out for the home side with a rib injury.

Liam Forbes and Shaun Carroll return to the Vale squad who came from two goals down to defeat Locos in the Aberdeenshire Cup. Ross Elder is doubtful and will face a late fitness test.
